Brenntag El Salvador S.A. of C.V.

In November 1976, an official from HCI Chemicals Nederland B.V. arrived in El Salvador with the purpose of opening a business dedicated to the Importation and Distribution of Chemical Products for diverse industries.

He stays at the Hotel San Salvador (which was destroyed by the earthquake of 1986) and, from there, initiates the necessary paperwork to open the company.

Dated February 15, 1977, a company with the name of Centro Quimico de El Salvador, S.A. de C.V. located on Blvd. del Ejercito Nacional, Colonia Marali, Soyapango, is established.

Initially, it focused on the distribution of solvents for paints, adhesives and products for tanneries.  Then, Adrian Hol, who later became President for HCI Latin America, assumes the position of General Manager.

In 1982, the locale is changed and is relocated to The Antigua Carretera Panamericana, Parque Industrial Desarrollo, Local 9, Soyapango. 

During the month of December 2003, as a result of the sale of HCI, the trade name changes to BRENNTAG EL SALVADOR, S.A. de C.V. and at that time has twenty employees.

The company serves the following industries: Oil and Gas, Food, Plastics, Adhesives, Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics, Leather, Textiles, Detergents, Agrochemicals, Paints, Water Treatment, Polyurethanes, Paper, Flexography, Rotographics.

As a result of the growth of the company, the physical plant which has an area of 3000 square meters proves to be insufficient, and the process for construction of a new warehouse with an area of 4300 sq. meters located in the area of Soyapango, very near the present installations, is initiated.
