Our History

Brenntag Brazil is a result of fusion of three important Chemicals Distributors in Brazil

In 1995,  HCI arrived in Brazil and bought local Chemicals Distributor called Alquímica. Alquimica used to have distribution operations centers in Sao Paulo and in the South of the country.  One year later, in 1996, HCI bought  B. Herzog, another company in Sao Paulo. In 2001, both Companies were fused and  HCI Brazil was born.

In 2002, HCI bought another important Chemicals Distributor:  Fenil Química.  With this acquisition, company name was definitely changed to Brenntag Química Brasil Ltda.

Nowadays, there are more than 200 employees, working on 3 Distribution Centers, located :

• At Guarulhos, in Sao Paulo  -  5,500 m²
• At Esteio, in Rio Grande do Sul -  2, 900 m² and
• At Joinville, in Santa Catarina -  1,800 m².
