Our Role:

The business is divided in three different areas :

N-Spec is a proprietary service designed to clean oil and gas pipelines, tanks and process units such as amine and glycol plants. They remove asphaltenes, paraffin, sand, and black powder, and other deposits.

Process Chemicals That’s the way we call those chemical products that go into refineries, petrochemical plants and gas conditioning facilities. The units and processes in those plants require the use of many chemicals. Please see graphics. The main suppliers that we team up with are the following : Ineos (Specialty amines), Calgon Carbon (activated carbon), Grace (molecular sieves and desiccants), Saint Gobain (top bed and support bed solutions), Engelhard (activated aluminas, catalyst, additives and desiccants), Wacker and Dow Corning (silicones), Coastal Chemicals (coolants, corrosion inhibitors, H2S scavengers, asphaltene inhibitors, flow improvers), Drew (water treatment), Anderol and Kluber (synthetic lubes), Ashta (KOH in nuts). We don’t limit ourselves to the supply of chemicals. We provide the technical support required by our customers to meet their expectations. We also provide a number of commodity chemicals from different quality sources: LCS, SUA, HCL, KOH, soda ash, methanol, MEK, toluene.


Production Chemicals are used in upstream operations : drilling, production, well stimulation, well completing, well cementation, maintenance, workover, etc. We sell some commodities, like HCL, xylene, toluene, KCL, barite, bentonyte, starch, cement (type A, G and H), organophilic clays, guar and xantan gums . We also sell a number of specialties from companies such as Drilling Specialties, Clearwater Industries, Rapid Fluids, Tri Additives, Dyckerhoff, Saint Gobain, Coastal Chemicals, etc.

Value added services At Brenntag Latin America, we offer other services that help our customers and suppliers to take the decision of working in conjunction with us: We make some blends of solvents, and blend corrosion inhibitors to the HCL for drilling fluids companies. We also deliver twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. We send samples of fresh or used products to our supplier labs for chemical and physical analysis. We also analyse some samples ourselves and issue recommendations based on the conditions of the solutions. We make custom blends for some customers and products. We offer local technical knowledge which complements the one offered by our suppliers. We offer one-stop shopping for our customers.
